Scaffolding, sheds, barriers and fencing for Staten Island buildings and construction sites, from a Brooklyn team that’s worked across all five boroughs since 2004.
Staten Island is one of our five boroughs, full stop. Our crews come over from Brooklyn with the same services and the same setup they use everywhere else, and the people who build it are the ones who take it down.
Calls from the island tend to fall into two groups. Owners and managers with facade or exterior work on a building that’s already there, and contractors who need a site fenced and secured before the first truck shows up. Either way, we start with the address and what needs to happen there.
All of it, from the North Shore down to the South Shore. What we bring depends on the job.
A construction site usually gets temporary fencing rental around the lot, with jersey barrier rental along the side that faces traffic. On a facade, flat walls take frame scaffolding, while a building with an odd shape gets pipe scaffolding built to fit it. If the work hangs over a public sidewalk, sidewalk shed installation keeps people covered underneath.
As of November 2026.
DOT’s Holiday Construction Embargo runs every day from November 15, 2026, to January 2, 2027, 6 AM to 11:59 PM, and Staten Island gets its own list. The Borough Hall area is on it, inside Victory Boulevard, Wall Street, Richmond Terrace and St. Marks Place.
Victory Boulevard is listed from the West Shore Expressway to Slosson Avenue, and Hylan Boulevard from Guyon Avenue to Steuben Street. Forest Avenue is covered from the Staten Island Expressway to Victory Boulevard, and Richmond Avenue from Victory Boulevard to Oakdale Street.
In that window, routine street and sidewalk work under DOT permits at those locations needs sign-off from DOT’s Office of Construction Mitigation and Coordination. Emergency work needs a DOT emergency number. DOT’s full embargo list has the full set.
The island is also where the NYC Marathon starts, so the race brings temporary construction restrictions around the start area and the route toward the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. The 2026 restrictions ended on November 1.
The holiday list mostly follows the main commercial roads. A storefront on Hylan Boulevard or Forest Avenue is far more likely to be affected than a house on a side street. If your site is on a listed road, install before November 15 or push the start past January 2. We’ll check the address when you call.
Job near Borough Hall, on Victory Boulevard or Hylan Boulevard? DOT’s holiday embargo starts November 15.
Staten Island follows the same citywide requirements as the other boroughs. On the island, as everywhere, DOB permits the scaffold and shed work and DOT permits use of the street and sidewalk.
Our Brooklyn team works in all five boroughs. On Staten Island, the team that fences your site or builds your scaffold and shed is the team that removes it. One call covers the whole job.
Yes. Staten Island is one of the five boroughs we cover, and you get the full service list there: scaffolding, sidewalk sheds, barriers and temporary fencing, from the same crews we send everywhere else.
The Borough Hall area and Victory Boulevard, from the West Shore Expressway to Slosson Avenue, are both on DOT's 2026 holiday embargo list. From November 15, 2026, to January 2, 2027, routine work under DOT permits there needs approval from DOT's Office of Construction Mitigation and Coordination, and emergency work needs a DOT emergency number. Installing before November 15 or after January 2 avoids the review.
