Our Services

Scaffold types

Sectional frame scaffolds

Prefabricated steel frames stack into bays, so crews cover a flat, straight wall quickly. They suit repointing, painting and window work. Read about frame scaffolding.

Supported scaffold

“We hired Brooklyn Sidewalk Shed and Scaffolding for a facade repointing job on a tight lot. Their team handled the setup smoothly and made the rental process simple.”

Tube-and-coupler scaffolds

Crews clamp steel tube joint by joint, so the scaffold follows what the wall does: a cornice, a setback, a bay or a curve. It reaches walls where frames don't fit. See pipe scaffolding.

Hanging scaffolds and swing stages

A swing stage hangs from the roof and moves along the wall, so crews reach any floor of a tall building without a tower rising from the street. It suits high-rise facade and window work. See suspended scaffolding.

Pedestrian and site protection

Sidewalk protection

A covered walkway over the public sidewalk lets people keep moving while crews work above. It goes up wherever the public walks under the work. We build it to your frontage and confirm the DOB permit before work starts.

Sidewalk shed

“Brooklyn Sidewalk Shed and Scaffolding put up a shed for our brownstone repair on short notice. The crew showed up on time, kept the walkway clear for neighbors, and took it down as soon as work finished.”

Concrete barriers

Where crews or equipment sit beside traffic, concrete barriers draw a hard line between them and the lane. We place each run to your layout.

Construction site fencing

Fence panels close the lot's perimeter, keep the public out and mark the boundary crews work inside. They also give materials a protected place to wait.

Jobs that need more than one service

A facade repair on a busy street often pairs a scaffold on the wall with protection over the sidewalk below. A job beside traffic adds barriers along the lane and fencing around the lot. One request covers the whole set, and the same team handles it from the site visit to removal. Send the address, the borough, the services you need and your start date, and we price them together. Frequently asked questions

There is no official count, but the classic list names single, double, cantilever, suspended, trestle, steel and patented scaffolds. Most scaffolds fall into two groups, supported and suspended. We put up three: pipe and frame scaffolds, which are supported, and suspended scaffolds.
